Is it possible to connect a computer’s speaker output to a home theater speaker system (to the audio input in the subwoofer) directly, or must I use some kind of amplifier? I wish to refrain from buying a receiver since I don’t see why I need one, so in case it’s not possible, is there another way to connect my computer straight to the speakers, maybe using a special sound card?
I know that you use a cable to connect a one device to the other. My question is can that be done without a device to amplify the sound output from the computer? (i.e using a receiver, which I don’t want to use)
