For Christmas, my parents are getting me the Onkyo SKS-HT750 (7.1-Channel Home Theater Speaker System). I plan on buying the Onkyo TX-SR605 (7.1 A/V Receiver) so I have a way to run my speakers. The speakers are 110w each, and the subwoofer is 230w. The SR605 receiver is rated for 630w (90w on each channel). My question is this: How does that relate to the subwoofer? Am I going to be able to hook up the sub to the receiver and get decent sound out of it as well, or do I have to buy some sort of amplifier separately? I’ve never gotten a home theater system, so I’m not sure on how all that works. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!
