I have a Sony Digital Video Camera Recorder, Model DCR HC40 and I want to get video footage from it onto the computer. I have no specific software that came with the camera or any special cables that came with it, It had a USB cable slot that I connected to it and to the computer. The cables fit and everything but the computer doesn’t recognize it. Can anyone help me with what to do if I don’t have the specific software?
