I prefer to do most of my shoping on the internet. I can usually get better deals and a better selection. I just need to make sure that I order things well in advance so there’s no issues with late arrivals. And now I’ve discovered my new favorite gift –bags. Bags come with a million options, so it’s easy to locate an option tailored specifically to your needs.
In the past I’ve not had that much interest in bags. I keep one or two purses that serve my needs and I am pretty content. However, my sister, a real fashionista, asked for a Baggallini for her birthday this year. I had never heard of the company, and so was astonished when I went to make a purchase at the incredible selection of different kinds of bags just this one company produced. There were purses, totes and backpacks. I started surfing the site and stumbled on these next. The camera rucksack was completely PERFECT for my dad. It immediately went in my shopping cart along with Sarah’s Baggallini, then I bookmarked the web page. Since then I’ve also bought a Crumpler bag for my brother who just started college.
I’ve already begun planning my Christmas shopping–bags for all! You see, I genuinely prefer to put some thinking into my presents and get the perfect item for each person on my list, but searching tons of online retailers is incredibly time consuming. Now I can get something for everyone without the waste of time, but still each gift can be particular to the recipient. Plus, I’m spreading Christmas expenses over the whole year since I can start now. I suppose I could set apart money each month for gifts, but it’s more enjoyable to pick one out every once in a while. There’s also no crunch with shipping times. The slowest, least expensive shipping method works just fine. Of course, one time this rather backfired. I had things shipped straight off to my grandparents’ house, where we were spending the holiday. When they got a movie I’d ordered for my dad, they didn’t notice my name on the box and insisted on returning it to Barnes and Noble (which isn’t even the store I’d bought it from!). This year I’m bypassing the grandmother factor and having everything shipped directly to me.
